Deciding which dimension to work in is a tough choice. To start things off, Jama will walk you through the advantages and disadvantages of using 2D vs. 3D, and the power of combining them together. We will then do a tour of 3D-Coat, including the tools and workflow Jama uses to create concept sketches.
Homework
Assignment
1. Starting from silhouttes, create a futuristic cityscape. Try using different shapes from study to build a nice variety creating your own unique shapes.
Yes your are right Sathish. I need to keep that in mind! I also don't understand how render depth pass works? I have it turned on but I don't see any atmospheric element to my cityscapes... unless of course I need to do something else to make it work?! ^_^
Finally some free time to finish one. Not much of a cityscape, but I tried (not very successfully) to make a forest using the Keyshot patterns. Critics are very welcomed
Just signed up a few days ago! Went through the first week lectures and I have to say that I am very excited for whats to come :) Thanks Jama for showing us the way! lol I'll be doing a few more of these bad boys before moving on to week 2 hw.

Felix,
very good start,
love building designs.
You can try bringing in a bit more atmospheric perspective using Keyshot`s depth pass or just paint it in.. Looks very promising!
