Now that our environment is complete, we will focus on rendering strategies. Adam will demonstrate the various techniques behind creating shaders and materials in Houdini. To wrap things up, you'll break your scene into render layers and create multi-channel EXR’s to rebuild in Nuke and refine the look of your image.
The final assignment is to complete your environment shot, either as a still or as a short animated fly-through. This should be a fully rendered and composited image or movie. Scale, depth, and mood should all be conveyed to the best of your abilities.
Add additional layers of atmosphere, fog, particles, etc. in Nuke, After Effects, or Photoshop to further enhance the shot.
