Final Artwork
Lesson 6 of 6 Advanced Vehicle Design
Now you will create a set of final deliverables, showing your vehicle in standalone shots, dynamic keyframes, turntables, and even making an entirely new variant design.
Standalone Shots Homework
Bring your standalone vehicle renders into 2D and create the final paintovers for these shots. The amount of work needed in this stage depends on how much was solved in 3D, but take your time and have fun with this process!
Additional Artwork Homework
Create any additional pieces of artwork you feel would be useful to show off your vehicle. These can include keyframes, alternate skins or turntables. Plan the amount of deliverables to create based on the learning path you chose at the beginning of this course.
Alternate color schemes would be a good place to start for students who chose the Beginner learning path, and if you’re feeling confident after finishing these you can move forward from there.
Variant Homework
If you’re up for a challenge, create a new variant vehicle based on your original design. Then create artwork to show off that new variant. This will add a lot of variety and interest to your portfolio.
Final Artwork Homework
Go through all the artwork you’ve created in this lesson, and take one last critical look. See if there are any final changes needed, or if one image needs to be conformed to fit with the others. Coming back with fresh eyes like this can help you notice new things needed for the presentation as a whole.
