After figuring out the appropriate line art sketch for the painting, I moved on to some b/w sketches in order to block out general shapes and the overall read of the painting. This was a fun exercise as there was a lot of opportunity to explore different ways and styles to group values. As for the color choices, I wanted the mood to give off a sense of festivity and joy, hence decided to go for a vibrant, warm color pallete. CnC are welcome!
