Decided to go with both options one and two. I was pretty slow at first but after a few I started figuring out to sketch in line less and let more of the darker values and shadows do the hard work. The reconstructing part of the assignment was definitely the most challenging, but by far the most rewarding. Looking forward to the next assignment!
